In my freelance career I’ve gained experience with creating illustrations, logos, graphic design and layout for advertisements and exhibitions. I’ve worked with Folkets Park Malmö, BID Malmö, Seriefrämjandet (The Swedish comic association) and Comics Heaven, amongst others.
Rosett - A Manga anthology
Rosett is a manga anthology inspired by Japanese comic magazines, such as Ribon and Margaret, in both content and aestethics. I worked as an editor, graphic designer and comic artist for this project and created, among other things, logos and promotional material.
Tre Vyer
“Tre Vyer” (Three Views) was an exhibition at Galleri 21 in Malmö, featuring three artists working in different mediums. I did the graphic design and promotional material for the exhibition. In addition I was also responsible for creating a wall text of a poem featured in the exhibition.
Gallerihelgen 2022 - Ateljé Skrymslet
In 2022 Ateljé Skrymslet took part in “Gallerihelgen”, an event in Malmö where different art galleries and studios open their spaces for the public during a weekend and put on different art exhibitions. For this event I was responsible for the promotional material for our studio and I created a flyer with a map of our art exhibition for the visitors.
Seriefrämjandets Portfolioutställning
I took part in Seriefrämjandet’s (The Swedish Comic Association) touring portfolio exhibition in 2022. The exhibition presented multiple swedish comic artists, including myself, with the intention of spreading their work. It was featured at various comic festivals and conventions, such as Stockholms International Comic Festival, Seriefest i Väst and Närcon.
Seriestaden Malmö
“Seriestaden Malmö” (The Comic Art City Malmö) is an initiative by BID Malmö with the intention to bring comic art into the public space of the city of Malmö. I participated in a part of this project where me and other comic artists had our comics put up on electrical cabinets throughout the city.
Winterdream was a project for Folkets Park, a public park in Malmö City, where they transformed the park into a winter wonder land called “Winterdream” for their winter decoration. A part of this was the comic art exhibit “Vintergatan” where they had me and several other comic artists interpret a short fairytale made for the park, “The Tale of Winterdream”. In my illustrations I’ve depicted the Ice Princess that rules over the kingdom of Winterdream, a strict but mostly fair monarch. Our illustrations were put up as posters around the park.
This exhibition was done in two iterations. For the first year the illustrations were displayed as posters along the fence of the park. The next year they were displayed in giant Christmas present-themed boxes. The park visitors could walk into the boxes and experience the artwork together with ambient noice created specifically for the fairy tale we’d illustrated.
